It is a white, small lump or flake or crushed solid product, with ammonia smell, soluble in water, insoluble in alcohol, hygroscopic, and decomposes into ammonia and carbon dioxide when heated to 58 °C.

Uses: Reagent-grade ammonium carbonate is used in pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical reagents, fermentation accelerators, etc. Industrial-grade ammonium carbonate can be used to produce fertilizers, printing and dyeing auxiliaries, wool refining, buffers, detergents, it is also a valuable oxidant for the production of electronic components, and can also be used for drip analysis of potassium, radium and selenium, etc., can be used as chromatographic analysis reagents, can also be used to replace various carbonate products, and can also be used as plastics, natural rubber latex foaming agents, etc.
